This is one huge pecan log.  The ring count suggests that it is over 100 years old.  Fortunately it missed the house when it fell during hurricane Ike.  Others were not so lucky.  The last hurricane that hit this area prior to Ike was Alicia 25 years ago.  Many trees have matured since and many trees fell.  We have been busy since the storm collecting logs from all over ther Galveston area.

Sawmill services are $65 per machine hour.  If you bring me the logs there will be no set-up fee.  Set-up fee is $65 and includes mileage to/from your location within 50 miles.  Note:  Machine hours are based on the hour meter of the main engine.  That is not running during loading and positioning.  You can expect to process one log per hour depending upon the amount of help that you supply and the quality of your logs.
